INSTRUCTIONS

For setting up Talking Machines if followed out as here directed will produce perfect results.

1. Remove all contents from inside of cabinet or base.

2. Lift connecting support on inside of cabinet into position.

3. Turn horn support attached on outside of cabinet into position (½ turn) taking care it engages in slits on side.

4. Insert the bright end of crank in turntable from felt-covered side of turntable. Now press in hard on crank and give quarter turn to right or left until wings engage in grooves. Handle will now remain in firm position.

5. Place cabinet on level base and turntable in position; turntable should spin freely.

6. Place two sections of the horn together. Insert needle in needle holder as far as it will go; needle is held in place by pressing lever outward. Place record on turntable and attach horn to horn support.

NO PART OF HORN OR SOUND BOX SHOULD TOUCH RECORD - ONLY NEEDLE.

TO OPERATE MACHINE

Place three fingers loosely over handle and turn with EVEN speed about 78 turns per minute, turn with wrist motion, not the whole arm. Let weight of turntable help, you will acquire this even speed very soon.
